Any camera decision will naturally be influenced heavily by the price. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices give an idea on the placement of the camera in the maker’s lineup and the broader market. One differentiating feature between the two cameras concerns the touch sensitivity of the rear screen. The X70 has a touchscreen, while the X-E2S has a conventional panel. Both the X-E2S and the X70 have been discontinued, but can regularly be found used on eBay. The X-E2S was replaced by the Fujifilm X-E3, while the X70 was followed by the Fujifilm XF10.
