Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The listed launch prices provide an indication of the market segment that the manufacturer of the cameras have been targeting. The G3 was somewhat cheaper (by 8 percent) than the E-M10 II at launch, but both cameras fall into the same price category. One feature that differentiates the E-M10 II and the G3 is in-body image stabilization (IBIS). The E-M10 II reduces the risk of handshake-induced blur with all attached lenses, while the G3 has to rely on optical image stabilization in OIS-equipped lenses to achieve the same effect.
