MFT Lens Lineup
Since the launch of the Panasonic G1 in 2008, the Micro Four Thirds system has been growing dynamically. Increasingly more sophisticated and feature-rich cameras have been released, and a comprehensive set of interchangeable lenses has built up. Indeed, more than 100 lenses with a native mFT mount are available by now (see the compendium table below). About 70 optics from Olympus, Panasonic, Kodak, Sigma, Tamron and YI support autofocus operation, while the manual focus lenses often serve specialty applications, such as the Nokton series of ultra-fast primes from Voigtländer, the 24mm Tilt/Shift lens from Samyang, or the 300mm mirror lens from Tokina. In addition, all the lenses that had been released for the Four Thirds system can be mounted and operated on mFT cameras with the help of an FT to MFT adapter.
Even though the lens catalog appears rather comprehensive already, it continues to expand. So what can we expect in terms of new lens releases over the coming months? Below is a roadmap of what has been rumored, is in the pipeline, or has recently been launched. Moreover, if you scroll down, you will find a table that makes it possible to compare the headline specifications of new and existing m43 lenses.

Schneider-Kreuznach had joined the Four Thirds consortium in 2011 and announced that it would start producing lenses for mFT. Indeed, the company presented prototypes of three primes at the Photokina imaging fair in 2012. In particular, it promised to commercialize a Super-Angulon 14mm f/2 wide-angle lens, a Xenon 30mm f/1.4 standard prime, and a Makro-Symmar 60mm f/2.4 macro. However, in July 2015, Schneider's management reported that it would no longer pursue the development of its mFT lenses as part of a strategic re-orientation of the company.

Carl Zeiss is another Germany-based optics manufacturer that is a member of the Four Thirds consortium. Yet to date, the company has only produced Cine lenses in MFT mount (see here on ebay). Zeiss has not excluded, though, that it might at a later time also launch products for the still photo market.
The compendium below lists all available photography lenses with a fixed mFT-mount. If a lens design is sold under different brands, it is only included once in the listing. For example, many of Samyang's optics are also sold as Rokinon, ProOptik or Walimex lenses, but are solely represented as Samyang in the table. Similarly, the Nocturnus 0.95/35mm and 0.95/42.5mm lenses by Meyer Optik Görlitz seem largely identical to the Mitakon Speedmaster optics and are in the listing covered as such.

Because of the relatively short flange-focal distance of MFT, lenses produced for many other mounts can be used on mFT-cameras via suitable adapters. The latter can be readily found on ebay. However, when using legacy lenses on mFT, one often looses out on some of the key advantages of the system, notably the compact size and light weight of native lenses.

Even though both Olympus and Panasonic adhere to the MFT standard, there are some compatibility issues that you might want to be aware of when using Olympus lenses on Panasonic bodies or vice versa. Micro Four Thirds cameras can also use the earlier Four Thirds lenses. However, in order to mount these lenses an adapter is required.
