The A6000 can be obtained in three different colors (black, silver, white), while the A6400 is only available in black.
In this particular case, the Sony A6000 and the Sony A6400 have exactly the same width and height, and, thus, have identically-sized bodies. However, the A6400 is markedly heavier (17 percent) than the A6000. In this context, it is worth noting that neither the A6000 nor the A6400 are weather-sealed.

Any camera decision will naturally be influenced heavily by the price. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices give an idea on the placement of the camera in the maker’s lineup and the broader market. The A6000 was launched at a markedly lower price (by 33 percent) than the A6400, which puts it into a different market segment. One differentiating feature between the two cameras concerns the touch sensitivity of the rear screen. The A6400 has a touchscreen, while the A6000 has a conventional panel. Touch control can be particularly helpful, for example, for setting the focus point.The A6400 has an articulated screen that can be turned to be front-facing. It is notable that the A6400 has a microphone port, which can help to improve the quality of audio recordings by attaching an external microphone. The A6000 does not feature such a mic input.
The A6400 is a recent model that features in the current product line-up of Sony. In contrast, the A6000 has been discontinued (but it can be found pre-owned on eBay).
