The G10 was launched at a markedly lower price (by 77 percent) than the GH6, which puts it into a different market segment. One difference between the cameras concerns the presence of an on-board flash. The G10 has one, while the GH6 does not. While the built-in flash of the G10 is not very powerful, it can at times be useful as a fill-in light.

The reported shutter speed information refers to the use of the mechanical shutter. Yet, some cameras only have an electronic shutter, while others have an electronic shutter in addition to a mechanical one.
