Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices give an idea on the placement of the camera in the maker’s lineup and the broader market. The SX530 was launched at a markedly lower price (by 85 percent) than the X-U Typ 113, which puts it into a different market segment. The SX530 is equipped with a zoom lens, while the X-U Typ 113 comes with a built-in prime. The SX530 has a 24-1200mm f/3.4-6.5 optic and the X-U Typ 113 offers a 35mm f/1.7 (focal lengths in full frame equivalent terms).
