Any camera decision will naturally be influenced heavily by the price. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices give an idea on the placement of the camera in the maker’s lineup and the broader market. The G1X Mark III was launched at a markedly lower price (by 61 percent) than the RX1R II, which puts it into a different market segment.
