Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The listed launch prices provide an indication of the market segment that the manufacturer of the cameras have been targeting. Many modern cameras are not only capable of taking still images, but can also record movies. One feature that differentiates the A7S II and the A7S is in-body image stabilization (IBIS). The A7S II reduces the risk of handshake-induced blur with all attached lenses, while the A7S has to rely on optical image stabilization in OIS-equipped lenses to achieve the same effect.
