Any camera decision will naturally be influenced heavily by the price. The retail prices at the time of the camera’s release place the model in the market relative to other models in the producer’s line-up and the competition. The two cameras under review were launched at the same price and fall into the same market segment. Both the 1100D and the T3 have been discontinued, but can regularly be found used on eBay. The 1100D was replaced by the Canon 1200D, while the T3 was followed by the Canon T5.
