Panasonic LX15 versus Panasonic TZ100

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX15 (called Panasonic LX10 in some regions) and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ100 (labelled Panasonic ZS100 in some countries) are two digital cameras that were revealed to the public, respectively, in September 2016 and January 2016. Both the LX15 and the TZ100 are fixed lens compact cameras that are equipped with an one-inch sensor. Both cameras offer a resolution of 20 megapixel.

The listed prices provide an indication of the market segment that the manufacturer of the cameras have been targeting. Both the LX15 and the TZ100 have zoom lenses build in. The LX15 has a 24-72mm f/1.4-2.8 optic and the TZ100 offers a 25.025-250.25mm f/2.8-5.9 (focal lengths in full frame equivalent terms). Hence, the LX15 provides a wider angle of view at the short end than the TZ100, but less tele-photo reach at the long end. The LX15 offers the faster maximum aperture.
