Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices give an idea on the placement of the camera in the maker’s lineup and the broader market. The AZ901 was launched at a lower price than the M-E Typ 240, despite having a lens built in. One difference between the cameras concerns the presence of an on-board flash. The AZ901 has one, while the M-E Typ 240 does not. While the built-in flash of the AZ901 is not very powerful, it can at times be useful as a fill-in light.
