Any camera decision will naturally be influenced heavily by the price. Many modern cameras are not only capable of taking still images, but also of capturing video footage. One difference between the cameras concerns the presence of an on-board flash. The G7X Mark II has one, while the ZV-1 does not. It is notable that the ZV-1 has a microphone port, which can help to improve the quality of audio recordings by attaching an external microphone. The G7X Mark II does not feature such a mic input.
The ZV-1 is a recent model that features in the current product line-up of Sony. In contrast, the G7X Mark II has been discontinued (but can be found pre-owned on eBay).
