The price is, of course, an important factor in any camera decision. The retail prices at the time of the camera’s release place the model in the market relative to other models in the producer’s line-up and the competition. The T7i was launched at a markedly lower price (by 83 percent) than the A9, which puts it into a different market segment. Usually, retail prices stay at first close to the launch price, but after several months, discounts become available. Later in the product cycle and, in particular, when the replacement model is about to appear, further discounting and stock clearance sales often push the camera price considerably down. Sensor comparison: Sony A9 vs Canon T7i
The imaging sensor is at the core of digital cameras and its size is one of the main determining factors of image quality. One feature that differentiates the A9 and the T7i is in-body image stabilization (IBIS). The A9 reduces the risk of handshake-induced blur with all attached lenses, while the T7i has to rely on optical image stabilization in OIS-equipped lenses to achieve the same effect.The T7i has an articulated screen that can be turned to be front-facing. The reported shutter speed information refers to the use of the mechanical shutter.
