The A850 was launched at a somewhat lower price (by 20 percent) than the A7S, which makes it more attractive for photographers on a tight budget. One feature that differentiates the A850 and the A7S is in-body image stabilization (IBIS). The A850 reduces the risk of handshake-induced blur with all attached lenses, while the A7S has to rely on optical image stabilization in OIS-equipped lenses to achieve the same effect.
