Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The listed launch prices provide an indication of the market segment that the manufacturer of the cameras have been targeting. The A77 II was launched at a somewhat lower price (by 14 percent) than the A77, which makes it more attractive for photographers on a tight budget. It is notable that the A77 II offers wifi support, while the A77 does not. Wifi can be a very convenient means to transfer image data to an off-camera location.
