Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The retail prices at the time of the camera’s release place the model in the market relative to other models in the producer’s line-up and the competition. The M3 was launched at a markedly lower price (by 66 percent) than the A7 III, which puts it into a different market segment. Many modern cameras are not only capable of taking still images, but can also record movies.
