The E-M10 III was launched at a markedly lower price (by 46 percent) than the GX8, which puts it into a different market segment. One difference between the cameras concerns the presence of an on-board flash. The E-M10 III has one, while the GX8 does not. While the built-in flash of the E-M10 III is not very powerful, it can at times be useful as a fill-in light.The GX8 has an articulated LCD that can be turned to be front-facing.
