Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices give an idea on the placement of the camera in the maker’s lineup and the broader market. The G9X Mark II was launched at a lower price than the GH5, despite having a lens built in. One difference between the cameras concerns the presence of an on-board flash. The G9X Mark II has one, while the GH5 does not. While the built-in flash of the G9X Mark II is not very powerful, it can at times be useful as a fill-in light.
