One difference between the cameras concerns the presence of an on-board flash. The GF6 has one, while the GM5 does not. While the built-in flash of the GF6 is not very powerful, it can at times be useful as a fill-in light.The GF6 has an articulated LCD that can be turned to be front-facing.
