The FZ1000 was launched at a lower price than the 5D Mark IV, despite having a lens built in. One difference between the cameras concerns the presence of an on-board flash. The FZ1000 has one, while the 5D Mark IV does not. While the built-in flash of the FZ1000 is not very powerful, it can at times be useful as a fill-in light.
