Any camera decision will naturally be influenced heavily by the price. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices give an idea on the placement of the camera in the maker’s lineup and the broader market. The D5300 was launched at a markedly lower price (by 73 percent) than the A7S II, which puts it into a different market segment. One difference between the cameras concerns the presence of an on-board flash. The D5300 has one, while the A7S II does not.
