Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The listed launch prices provide an indication of the market segment that the manufacturer of the cameras have been targeting. The X Typ 113 was launched at a somewhat lower price (by 22 percent) than the X-U Typ 113, which makes it more attractive for photographers on a tight budget. Both the X-U Typ 113 and the X Typ 113 have built-in prime lenses. Both optics have identical focal length and aperture specifications (23mm f/1.7). Both cameras offer the same maximum aperture.

Both the X-U Typ 113 and the X Typ 113 have been discontinued, but can regularly be found used on ebay.
