Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The retail prices at the time of the camera’s release place the model in the market relative to other models in the producer’s line-up and the competition. The X30 was launched at a lower price than the GH5s, despite having a lens built in. Many modern cameras cannot only take still pictures, but also record videos. One difference between the cameras concerns the presence of an on-board flash. The X30 has one, while the GH5s does not. While the built-in flash of the X30 is not very powerful, it can at times be useful as a fill-in light.
