The D-LUX 5 was launched at a markedly lower price (by 50 percent) than the X100V, which puts it into a different market segment. One differentiating feature between the two cameras concerns the touch sensitivity of the rear screen. The X100V has a touchscreen, while the D-LUX 5 has a conventional panel. Touch control can be particularly helpful, for example, for setting the focus point.
