Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The retail prices at the time of the camera’s release place the model in the market relative to other models in the producer’s line-up and the competition. The X-T100 was launched at a markedly lower price (by 50 percent) than the D7100, which puts it into a different market segment. Many modern cameras cannot only take still pictures, but also record videos.
