Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The retail prices at the time of the camera’s release place the model in the market relative to other models in the producer’s line-up and the competition. The SL3 was launched at a markedly lower price (by 70 percent) than the Z6 II, which puts it into a different market segment. Many modern cameras are not only capable of taking still images, but can also record movies. One difference between the cameras concerns the presence of an on-board flash. The SL3 has one, while the Z6 II does not. While the built-in flash of the SL3 is not very powerful, it can at times be useful as a fill-in light.
