The Canon EOS R6 and the Leica C-LUX are two digital cameras that were announced, respectively, in July 2020 and June 2018. Any camera decision will naturally be influenced heavily by the price. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices give an idea on the placement of the camera in the maker’s lineup and the broader market. The C-LUX was launched at a lower price than the Canon R6, despite having a lens built in. Many modern cameras are not only capable of taking still images, but can also record movies. One difference between the cameras concerns the presence of an on-board flash. The C-LUX has one, while the Canon R6 does not.
