Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices give an idea on the placement of the camera in the maker’s lineup and the broader market. The W300 was launched at a markedly lower price (by 61 percent) than the G3X, which puts it into a different market segment. The imaging sensor is at the core of digital cameras and its size is one of the main determining factors of image quality. One differentiating feature between the two cameras concerns the touch sensitivity of the rear screen. The G3X has a touchscreen, while the W300 has a conventional panel.
