Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The listed launch prices provide an indication of the market segment that the manufacturer of the cameras have been targeting. The 5D Mark IV was somewhat cheaper (by 10 percent) than the Canon R5 at launch, but both cameras fall into the same price category.
