LCD attachment on the Sony A99 II

The LCD screen on the Sony Alpha ALT-A99 II is flexibly attached to the body. In particular, the LCD is multi-hinged and can be tilted both vertically and horizontally to enable odd-angle shots in landscape and portrait orientation. The LCD thereby offers a lot of flexibility to adjust and use the rear screen in a diverse set of situations.

In terms of size and resolution, the rear LCD of the Sony A99 II measures 3.0 inches and offers a resolution of 1,229,000 dots. The panel is not touch sensitive.

As can be seen from the rear-side image, the 3.0-inch LCD occupies a large part of the backside of the camera. For comparison, the diagonal on a standard credit card measures 4 inches.

One useful feature of the A99 II is a presence of a top-level LCD. While being, of course, smaller than the rear screen, the control panel conveys some of the essential shooting information and can be convenient for quick and easy settings verification.
