What is the sensor size of the Canon G1 X?

The Canon PowerShot G1 X is a digital camera that has an 1.5-inch sensor at its core. This imager measures 18.7mm in width and 14.0mm in height, so that the total imaging area of the sensor amounts to 262 mm².

The G1X provides an image resolution of 14.2 megapixels, based on 4 352 horizontal pixels and 3 264 vertical pixels.
